Bunbury markets to be at heart of local community

By Kevin Kelly

There's even more reason to get out and about in Bunbury on the first Saturday every month, as the city will be hosting its all-new city centre markets. The first event is set to be held on 5 December and is expected to be a hit with residents of real estate in Bunbury and beyond.

Local mayor Gary Brennan said there will be plenty of opportunity for members of the community to get involved in this monthly event.

"We are seeing some fantastic initiatives from all sectors of the community who are continuing to enhance what is already a vibrant and diverse CBD," commented Mr Brennan.

What to expect from Bunbury's markets

A range of different producers will be involved in the markets. There will be fresh produce and food on offer, as the local council aims to promote businesses in this part of Western Australia.

What's more, the markets are billed as a real family friendly event, making them a great opportunity for people of all ages to get together to see what's on offer. Regular entertainment will be held, building on the vibrant atmosphere the markets is expected to create.

Elsewhere in Bunbury

Owners of real estate in Bunbury have plenty of other events to look forward to over the coming months. It was recently announced that a new lease had been agreed for the Back Beach restaurant, meaning it could be open in time for Christmas.

A total of six expressions of interest were received by Bunbury City Council, each of which will be considered before a final decision is made on the restaurant's future.
