Buyers get the upper hand in WA

By Kevin Kelly

Knowing when is the right time to buy real estate in Bunbury can be difficult, but research suggests market conditions are favourable at the moment.

The Commonwealth Bank/RP Data Home Buyers Index for August 2013 shows property conditions have been good for the past 12 months, making now a great time to buy.

There are several factors anyone purchasing real estate will need to weigh up, such as the strength of prices, how much demand there is and how much property is available.

In Bunbury at present, Commonwealth Bank revealed how there is a slightly greater amount of housing stock available in Bunbury at the moment than there is demand from buyers.

As a result, if you've yet to take those first steps onto the property ladder, you could well find there is less competition for your dream home.

In fact, the bank pointed out that buyers should be able to negotiate a discount on their properties, especially if they've been on the market for a prolonged period of time.

Lyn Cobley, executive general manager of Commonwealth Bank, explained how it's essential for prospective buyers to do their homework and "search for properties offering the best value for money in relation to their individual property requirements".
