Check out Bunbury’s local talent this weekend!

By Kevin Kelly

The Shift Youth Arts Festival in Bunbury is currently happening with a wide range of different artistic exhibitions and events for residents of real estate in Bunbury to attend. After starting on Monday 13 April, the event is set to run through to 19 April – providing plenty of opportunities to see the smorgasbord of talents growing across the region.

There will be workshops held for people aged between 12 and 25, which will help individuals get better in their selected arts. The event is being run alongside National Youth Week, while also marking the beginning of Bunbury's Creative City Strategy.

This strategy aims to further the area's creative output by developing a supportive environment for people to create and express themselves. City of Bunbury mayor Gary Brennan said this festival would give young people across the city a chance to experience the artistic opportunities available to them.

"The Shift Youth Arts Festival is an event where the region's youth can enhance the city's already rich culture by unleashing their creative talents in a wide range of activities," said Mr Brennan in a 9 April statement.

The events being held during the next week could be encouraging for young residents living in Bunbury property, while offering the wider community a glimpse at the talents in the local area.
