Community water playground on the cards

By Kevin Kelly

Families are attracted to Bunbury rentals for a whole host of reasons, and the prospect of a new community water playground in the area could make them even more appealing.

The City of Bunbury is asking local residents for their views on the project, such as what they would like to see included at the site on Koombana Drive.

Parents, carers and anyone else who's likely to make use of the facility are welcome to get involved, and kids are also encouraged to have their say.

Bunbury's acting mayor Brendan Kelly explained how local residents have been pushing for the park for some time now, and there are high hopes it might finally be introduced.

"It is important we get this right and by asking the community what they want. Wehope to deliver a facility which can be enjoyed by all," he commented.

If you're interested in making your opinions known, sign up to the Household Panel through the City of Bunbury's website.

You'll be able to access a survey that contains information about the types of equipment that are available, as well as other playgrounds already in place all over Western Australia.

When all the feedback has been gathered, different plans will be drawn up and they'll also be subject to public consultation.
