Get involved with Bunbury’s Withers Community Kitchen Garden

By Kevin Kelly

If you're interested in helping create a nice environment for yourself and other residents of real estate in Bunbury to enjoy, it could be worth getting involved with the upkeep of the Withers Community Kitchen Garden.

After being launched last month, more than 80 people have contributed to the garden's growth – planting a wide variety of different fruit trees and vegetables to provide for the local community in the future.

City of Bunbury mayor Gary Brennan said the garden was not only to help provide fresh produce for the community, but to also encourage people to socialise and get to know each other. Creating a sense of community has a wide range of benefits, allowing for a more inclusive living environment in the long term.

"The garden a fantastic example of a community coming together and I applaud everyone involved so far. I encourage community-minded people to take a hands-on role and consider being part of the committee to ensure the garden continues to grow," said Mr Brennan in a 20 April statement.

If you're looking to buy your own Bunbury property, be sure to get in contact with a local real estate agent to gain some insight into the community today.
