How can neighbouring suburbs benefit from developments?

By Kevin Kelly

When you're looking for a potential buyer, there are a number of things to consider. The large number of developments that have been planned heading further into 2016 are good news for neighbouring suburbs of the projects, and real estate in Bunbury can benefit greatly.

But how can these developments affect you, even if you don't live in the same suburb?

A residual effect

The surrounding area could well be the difference between a sale or a buyer walking away, and if there is great potential around your property, it could see you making a great deal in the near future. Take the suburb of Withers for example, as the Bunbury City Council plans to invigorate the underused land, according to a 10 March media release.

"There are several criteria to this plan being a success, including community diversity, land rationalisation, increased connectivity and amenity," said Bunbury mayor Gary Brennan.

"When you put all of these aspects together then we have the recipe to make Withers a far more vibrant and functional place for people to live."

Sitting directly north of Withers, real estate in Bunbury South could see a welcome boost to their median house prices.

In fact, Residex lists the median house price across Bunbury at $547,000. For sellers in the city, this could be great news, and while the region is growing and developing into a refreshed and vibrant place to live, buyers may well come flooding in.

Justifying the sale

While it is looking as if Withers will boom after a neighbourhood overhaul, there have already been many projects planned closer to the CBD, particularly on Koombana Drive, and that looks to have reverberated further into the city.

"We are sharing a collective vision with the community and we will continue to listen to feedback to ensure everyone is on the same path to a rejuvenated suburb," continued Mr Brennan.

The support from council members is encouraging, and if you think Bunbury could be the right choice then contact Ray White Bunbury to see how the team can help.
