How will you spend Christmas in Bunbury?

By Kevin Kelly

The countdown to Christmas is officially underway in Bunbury, as the city council releases its schedule of events leading up to the big day. The annual Christmas parade is just one way you'll be able to get into the festive spirit if you're living in real estate in Bunbury East.

Bicentennial Square will be where the parade begins on 13 December. Crowds are expected to line the streets as the colourful spectacle gets underway at 3pm, and there will also be an opportunity for some carol singing.

Kids are sure to love what's on offer this year, as there will be a special area where the younger members of your family can visit the nativity petting zoo, or have their portrait drawn by a caricaturist.

If you're looking for a bite to eat as you wander around the event, then head over to one of the many on-site food trucks to sample the best of local and worldwide cuisine. Then head over to the Market Square to pick up those last-minute Christmas gifts.

Bunbury Regional Art Galleries is also giving you an opportunity to pick up a one-of-a-kind Christmas gift this year, as its annual exhibition has various art works at affordable prices. As soon as one of the pieces is purchased it'll be replaced with something else, meaning the exhibition is always evolving.
