Detached homes are a popular option when it comes to choosing property in Bunbury and the latest figures show now could be the time to secure them as 2014 draws to a close.
The HIA Home Sales Report for September pointed to a rise in new home sales across the country, although fewer detached properties gained the attention of buyers in Western Australia.
Sales of these homes were down 5.6 per cent in the state at a time as it and many other parts of the nation struggled to keep pace.
"Seasonally adjusted detached house sales fell by 2.3 per cent during the month to be down by 6.5 per cent over the September 2014 quarter," revealed chief economist at the Housing Industry Association (HIA), Harley Dale.
The need for new properties might be greater than ever, especially as SQM Research revealed earlier this month how stock listings were dwindling in many major markets.
Managing director Louis Christopher explained how this is usually a time of year when plenty of new listings come onto the market, but it hasn't been the case in 2014.
In fact, all of the national capitals saw a fall in stock levels, which may give further incentive to take a look at what Bunbury has to offer.
