Make the most of Bunbury’s senior discounts

By Kevin Kelly

Many people choose to live out their retirement years in Bunbury, which is being reflected through a discount scheme operated by the local council.

Residents of real estate in Bunbury South who possess a WA Seniors card can get hold of a free discount directory that outlines all the offers available in your local area.

The Department of Local Government and Communities is responsible for publishing the booklet, which provides discounts on businesses and services not only in Bunbury, but the rest of Western Australia.

Each directory is valid until the end of the 2015-16 financial year and also includes information on government concessions.

If you're interested in learning more, head down to the City of Bunbury Customer Service building or either of the City of Bunbury libraries to collect your copy.

Bunbury is a great place to live no matter what age you might be, which is what makes its community so diverse and interesting.

If you're moving to the area with your family, make sure your grandkids take part in the City of Bunbury's Unleashed holiday program, which is designed to keep youngsters entertained while they're off school.

The fun kicks off at Bounce Inc in Perth on September 30 and encompasses all sorts of different activities.
