Are you hoping to get your hands on real estate in South Bunbury? It's possible that the number of available properties may have increased over recent months, as Western Australia reflects on a year on success in the home building industry.
Figures from the Housing Industry Association (HIA) show more than 30,000 dwelling starts have taken place this year, making it an all-time record for the state.
New dwelling commencements are expected to have risen by 15.7 per cent over the course of the year, although there are concerns this might not continue into 2015.
The sector has been boosted by the all-time low cash rate of 2.5 per cent, noted the HIA's executive director in Western Australia John Gelavis, while strong price rises have also played a part.
Mr Gelavis continued: "Ensuring that WA's long-term housing needs are met will require bold action from government in delivering a more substantial pipeline of titled residential land and continuous improvement on the building approvals process currently underway."
