Owners of small and medium-sized businesses are being given the opportunity to take part in the 2015 Innovation Vouchers Program, which has just got underway in Western Australia.
The scheme has already proved a success, with $600,000 of funding so far being granted to small companies between 2011 and 2013.
Business owners with property in Australind have been able to develop their professional skills, as well as make the most of support services and improved revenue streams.
Commerce minister Michael Mischin said: "The program is designed to encourage industry-led innovation in WA, which will increase research and development investment into WA and in turn, create economic and employment opportunities."
Mr Mischin highlighted that funding of up to $20,000 is available, with all recipients required to match funds at a rate of at least 20:80 of the state government funding.
Applications are being received until 27 February, so business owners have a few more weeks to put together their proposals.
