Anyone seeking real estate in Bunbury over the coming months should find that their options have improved, as the latest data shows that dwelling approvals have increased throughout the state.
Data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) reveals that many parts of the country have witnessed a rise in approvals, with Western Australia experiencing a 0.8 per cent increase.
In fact, WA experienced one of the biggest rises in private sector housing approvals, which increased one per cent compared to the previous month.
If other recent figures from the ABS are to be believed, this escalation will be necessary, as it forecasts that Australia's population will double by 2075.
As a result, infrastructure improvements will need to be made across the nation in order to accommodate the growth – and WA will be no exception.
The group believes that by 2040, the population of this state alone will almost double in size from 2.4 million people in 2012 to 4.7 million.
This is likely to lead to a rise in people seeking houses to rent in Bunbury and other parts of WA as competition for the best properties increases.
ABS figures also indicate that the average age in Australia will rise, with the number of people aged 85 and over increasing significantly.
