5 Bunbury performances you should attend in July

By Kevin Kelly

Bunbury is a lively coastal town where there's always something fun going on.

Even though the weather may be less than ideal over the next few months, that doesn't mean there isn't anything interesting happening. There are a few exciting performances taking place over the next month that you won't want to miss:

1. Don Quixote, July 7

There are a dizzying number of events taking place in July, but the one that receives the most attention will undoubtedly be the West Australian Ballet's rendition of Don Quixote. The performance will air for one night only – July 7 – at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre (BREC). It's likely to be in high demand, so make sure to get your tickets as soon as possible.

2. Fiddler on the Roof, July 13-15

Another classic novel hits the stage in the form of a musical. Fiddler on the Roof will be airing at the BREC for three nights. South West Opera Company (SWOC) is the organisation behind it and this is the troupe's first time returning to Bunbury since its award-winning rendition of Cinderella in 2015.

3. Harrison Craig, July 16

If you have a passion for the original 'Kings of Vegas' then you'll want to see Craig's aptly titled show. The winner of season 2 of the Australian Voice will be singing songs by Elvis Presley, Nat Cole, Elton John, Billy Joel and his own originals for one night at the BREC. Those who purchase the separate 'Spotlight in Vegas' will be able to meet him before the show.

4. RocKwiz Live, July 22

The famous Australian television show has begun its 2017 live tour and it'll be stopping at the BREC for one night. The combination of trivia and live performances are led by Julia Zemiro, Brian Nankervis and the entire RocKwiz orchestra. Don't miss this night chock-full of entertainment.

5. BREC Winter film festival, July 24

Last but not least is the week-long airing of five award-winning foreign films at the BREC. Starting on July 24 and ending on July 29, attendees will get a chance to see three French films, as well as one from Germany and another from Chile.

There's always something fun going on in Bunbury, and this month's lineup of star-studded performances is a testament to that. If you're looking to rent, buy or sell property in Bunbury, contact a Ray White representative today.
