There are countless reasons to buy real estate in Bunbury. It could be the many high-quality schools located close by, the thriving shopping and eatery sectors or the chance to taste the saltwater in the air as you sail from one of its ports. Along with all this, there's also the exciting cultural atmosphere the city has to offer.
As of the first of the month, the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries (BRAG) will be managed by the City of Bunbury, a move the council calls a "positive change and a step forward" in a 1 July release.
"BRAG has a special place in the local and wider community and I am excited about where it is headed," mayor Gary Brennan said in the same release.
"I hope to see more community involvement and a continuation of support by the local arts people."
If you needed proof of this, all it takes is one look at BRAG's upcoming programme for the next two months. There's an exploration of Noongar culture, the native people of Western Australia's south-west, a mixed-media exhibition on WA's regional areas, a shot film about the work of seven fringe Beijing artists, as well as a printmaking workshop with famed Cuban artists.
