Owners of real estate in Bunbury could be interested to hear that the local council has listened to residents in the area about their desire to have more arts and culture in the region.
The Creative City Strategy is being developed alongside suggestions from a recent forum that was hosted by Mayor Gary Brennan and had members of the Bunbury Art Galleries in attendance.
Mr Brennan said that discussion with the public was the best way to move forward and approach the development of this strategy.
"The city will continue to work in harmony alongside the Galleries staff as well as staff employed at the Bunbury Entertainment Centre in order to facilitate the Creative City Strategy," said Mr Brennan in a February 5 statement.
Much of the feedback surrounded the need for more creative projects and a wider range of vibrant fixtures to engage with in order to increase the overall aesthetic appeal of the Western Australian city.
There was a positive reaction to the recent Re.Discover art exhibition, which showcased six Australian artists through the creation of six murals throughout Bunbury.
These developments could be great news for artists and art lovers who own real estate in Bunbury.
