Free parking for Bunbury Christmas shoppers

By Kevin Kelly

Making the most of Bunbury's shopping opportunities just got a lot easier this Christmas, as free parking hours have been extended throughout the city.

If you're heading into the city from your real estate in Dalyellup then you'll find the free time limit at visitor and shopper car parks throughout the centre is now three hours instead of two.

A total of 990 car parking bays are available across five sites, so you shouldn't have to go too far to find a place to leave your vehicle. On-street parking is set to remain unchanged throughout the festive period.

Mayor of Bunbury Gary Brennan commented: "As well as the extended parking hours, rangers will continually monitor the CBD parking demand in the lead up to Christmas and there will be an increased focus on customer service by assisting the public who are unfamiliar with the CBD."

A map has been put together by the city council to show exactly where the free parking spaces are and it's available to download from its website.

Shops throughout the CBD will also be providing copies, which should help your Christmas shopping go without a hitch this year.
