Almost $360,000 worth of projects have been given the go ahead in Withers, which could benefit owners of real estate in Bunbury and the surrounding suburbs.
Some of the developments expected to start include the construction of a footpath on Devonshire Street and Littlefair Drive, as well as new pathways connecting Whitely Place with the existing walkway behind the library.
Furthermore, those with sustainability at heart will be happy to hear that solar powered lights will be installed as part of the public-access way lighting project, while a number of new bus shelters have also been commissioned for the suburb.
Councillor and Withers Advisory Committee member James Hayward said the community was happy to see the council begin ticking things off the To Do list.
"Work in Withers has been stalled for far too long, it is pleasing to be working collaboratively with the community and actually deliver works on the ground," said Mr Hayward in a February 21 statement.
Upgrades for Moriarty and DC Foster Parks were also given the green light, with the funding going towards revitalising the suburb as a whole.
