If you've got your sights set on brand new real estate in Eaton then you should find plenty of quality properties to choose from, as home building is on the rise throughout Western Australia.
The Housing Industry Association (HIA) released its bi-annual Housing Scorecard, which placed WA at the top of the national rankings.
It emerged with a score of 87, putting it ahead of the Northern Territory in second place with a rating of 78. New South Wales was in third place with 74 points, while Victoria is in fifth with 67.
This is the second time this year WA has come out on top by what HIA economist Geordan Murray calls a "healthy margin".
"Overall, the Scorecard shows that WA and NSW have caught up to Victoria in terms of historically high levels of new home building activity," noted Mr Murray.
He warned that home building could start to moderate in these parts of the country, meaning other states will need to come to the fore and ensure the pace is maintained.
