If you're out and about in Bunbury this summer, you might notice a new addition to the city's thriving cafe scene. The Back Beach building has been granted a lease, which will see it transformed into a pop-up cafe during the hottest months of the year.
The official opening date has yet to be revealed, but the eatery is expected to be running at full capacity by the end of February. A new restaurant is also on the cards, but this will be going through a phased development before it's open to the public.
Bunbury mayor Gary Brennan said: "Back Beach is one of the jewels in Bunbury's crown and the pop-up cafe will further enhance this family-friendly area."
There are many reasons families choose to make the move to property in Bunbury, and the array of bars, restaurants and cafes the city has to offer is just one of them. You'll also find there's no shortage of shopping opportunities, which are soon to improve even further.
The city's Plaza Shopping Centre is currently undergoing a major redevelopment, which the local council believes will bring economic and social benefits to the local area. The multi-million project will see better car parking facilities, as well as more car parking spaces being made available to shoppers.
Rezoning will need to take place in order to accommodate the project, as areas are transformed from residential and mixed business to shopping centre zones.
