Take the suburb of Withers for example, as the Bunbury City Council plans to invigorate the underused land, according to a 10 March media release.
"There are several criteria to this plan being a success, including community diversity, land rationalisation, increased connectivity and amenity," said Bunbury mayor Gary Brennan.
"When you put all of these aspects together then we have the recipe to make Withers a far more vibrant and functional place for people to live."
Sitting directly north of Withers, real estate in Bunbury South could see a welcome boost to their median house prices.
In fact, Residex lists the median house price across Bunbury at $547,000. For sellers in the city, this could be great news, and while the region is growing and developing into a refreshed and vibrant place to live, buyers may well come flooding in.
While it is looking as if Withers will boom after a neighbourhood overhaul, there have already been many projects planned closer to the CBD, particularly on Koombana Drive, and that looks to have reverberated further into the city.
"We are sharing a collective vision with the community and we will continue to listen to feedback to ensure everyone is on the same path to a rejuvenated suburb," continued Mr Brennan.
