One of the many reasons people choose to move to Bunbury and surrounding suburbs is the strong sense of community, which has been cemented further through a new kitchen garden project.
The City of Bunbury has joined forces with the Life Without Barriers organisation to construct a small vegetable garden at the Hay Park Community Hall.
Volunteers have donated their time to ensure the kitchen gets up and running and if you live in real estate in Eaton, you can come along and help put the finishing touches together.
"All involved have really enjoyed working together, making new friends and watching the garden take shape," said City of Bunbury healthy communities officer Rachael Ord.
She revealed there had been a real community spirit, with locals taking on tasks such as building the raised beds and decorating the garden wall using mosaics.
Each of the raised garden beds will be planted with vegetables on 21 June and volunteers are invited to help, providing you register your interest first.
An open day is due to be hosted in July to recognise this latest project and various others that have taken place over the past few years.
