Finding ways to keep fit and healthy in your local area is easy when you make the move to Bunbury rentals, as there are plenty of top-quality facilities in the area.
One of them is the South West Sports Centre, which is about to become even better thanks to $30,000 of funding from the Western Australian government.
A total of 91 pools across the state have received financial assistance, which is designed to help with the maintenance and upgrade of local swimming facilities.
Some facilities might choose to use the money to purchase extra pool equipment, while others will dedicate it towards staff training.
Sport and recreation minister Terry Waldron explained just how important these locations are to people who regularly use them.
"In regional areas, pools are one of the ways in which locals of all ages can keep fit and active as well as staying connected to their community," he commented.
The South West Sports Centre recently carried out improvement works on its 50-metre pool, which took around 12 weeks to complete.
This involved replacing the pool liner and other upgrades that would make the pool better for users from throughout the local area.
