Residents of Bunbury are now seeing the ultimate sign that the local real estate market is ripe for the picking: Real estate agents themselves are now investing in the market.
Drew Cary, spokesman for the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia, told the Bunbury Mail that when agents are investing in the local market, it’s likely an indication that prospective buyers should follow suit.
"Anecdotally real estate agents are buying property at the moment which probably indicates now is the time to buy," Mr Cary said in an October 16 article.
"The people who should know what they are doing are putting their money where their mouth is."
Not only is the local real estate market favourable for home buyers, it also offers benefits to investors.
Data from the September Quarter 2013 Rental Report from Australian Property Monitors shows that median weekly rents declined 2 per cent in Perth when compared to the previous three-month period.
Meanwhile, the median weekly rent in Bunbury actually rose 2.9 per cent during June on a year-over-year basis.
This is good news for any potential buyers considering investing in Bunbury rentals.
