3 things to think about before buying a holiday home
A holiday home is great for knowing you can get away whenever the urge takes you. However, what should you consider before making an investment?
Residential building approvals have largely fallen across Australia, but this hasn't been the case in Western Australia.
If like many people you're hoping to buy real estate in Bunbury, you should find there are plenty of options available as approvals have increased all over the state.
Data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) shows the number of buildings given the go ahead increased 4.4 per cent between March and April this year.
Although detached house approvals might have fallen slightly last month, they were still four per cent higher than during the three months to April, so there are many reasons for optimism.
Executive director of the Housing Industry Association (HIA) in Western Australia John Gelavis said building approvals have been on the rise for the past two years.
"The overall profile for this key leading indicator of new residential construction work signals a healthy starting stanza for the approaching 2014-15 fiscal year," commented Mr Gelavis.
It's not only detached properties that have been springing up throughout the state, as the ABS figures show approvals for other dwellings increased 52.8 per cent in May.
No matter what type of property in Bunbury you have your eye on, there should be no shortage of places to view.
