School holidays may be a blast for kids, but they can be typically a burden for parents. When school is on, your child has somewhere to be and occupy themselves while you're away from home. Then suddenly, for two weeks, that's wrenched away and you need something to keep your kids stimulated and busy while you're unable to take care of them.
Fortunately, anyone with real estate in Australind, Bunbury, Eaton and surrounding areas is well-placed to take care of their kids these school holidays, thanks to the City of Bunbury's Unleashed program.
Taking place at a number of different locations, Unleashed will provide kids aged 10-17 a variety of physical, mental and – most importantly – fun activities to occupy their time during the school break. Similar to school hours, each day will run from 9 am to 4 pm, and will cost $20 per day.
The program kicked off on 6 July, with a day of printing and dyeing at the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries. Some of the other activities that are slated for the coming month include a golf workshop and West African drumming on 9 July at the Bunbury Rowing Club, and a kayaking expedition down the Collie River, starting from Pirate Park at Pelican Point at Eaton. There will also be a day of 3D Urban Art at Bunbury Senior High School.
Today will be the final day for reservations, so if you own real estate in Eaton and other areas around Bunbury, be sure to get on top of it. All you have to do is visit the City of Bunbury Administration Centre at 4 Stephen Street, where you can pay by cash or EFTPOS.
