Bunbury is a fantastic place to bring up your kids, not least because there are plenty of schools, open spaces and facilities that make family life that little bit easier.
Keeping your children entertained in the city is about to get even better, as construction has started on Bunbury's first ever water playground.
If you're currently living in real estate in Bunbury then you might have been one of the many people who has been pushing for the water park, which is now about to become a reality.
City mayor Gary Brennan said the council had sat up and taken notice and work finally started on the playground on 27 May.
"The water playground although in its early stages will be a huge boon to the community and will also attract tourists to the city once complete," said Mr Brennan.
"It will be a wonderful water playground for residents of Greater Bunbury."
It's not yet clear when the playground will be open for you to use, but work has already started on bringing footpaths, lighting and a shelter to the area.
You'll also be able to enjoy a BBQ or picnic at the site, as these facilities are on the cards as well.
